Agricultural communities in rural Tamil Nadu continue to face persistent issues such as unstable market prices, dependency on intermediaries, and limited access to broader consumer markets. These barriers often prevent farmers from receiving fair compensation. Agro Green is proposed as a farmer-centric digital platform that enables direct and transparent agricultural trade by connecting farmers and consumers through a structured, technology- driven system. The platform integrates mobile technology, secure digital payments, and geolocation-based services to support real-time product listing, ordering, and delivery coordination. Verified farmer and consumer authentication ensures trustworthy participation. Farmers can update availability and pricing dynamically, while consumers can locate nearby produce using location-assisted search. The system further includes transparent pricing, order management, delivery tracking, farmer ratings, consumer reviews, and transaction histories. By enabling direct trade, reducing intermediaries, and promoting equitable pricing, Agro Green strengthens rural economic resilience and supports sustainable agricultural development. Consumers, in turn, gain access to fresh, locally sourced produce and contribute to community-oriented food systems.
